The Olive Fabillac is a chambered solid body guitar. The body is made of Alder with an Italian Olive wood top. The fingerboard is from the same plank of Olive wood as the top. The neck is done in Walnut with a birdseye Maple center strip sandwiched between two thin strips of Wenge. The 2 single coil pickups in open humbucker sized housings are handwound at my workshop on custom made bobbins. The neck is a P-90 style pickup with 6900 winds of AWG43 wire and two AlNiCo bar magnets underneath, delivering a warm and full single coil tone. The bridge pickup is consists of a slanted AlNiCo V bar magnet with 7200 winds of AWG43 wire around it and has a bright, snappy & twangy sound. With the featherweight ABM warparound bridge, machined out of one solid piece of aluminum, the weight of this guitar is under 2900 grams!
